Valentina’s Room in Autumn
I'm such an Autumn Winter baby! It's my most favourite time of year and it all starts when those gorgeous leaves start to turn those golden hues of burnt orange and brown and fall to the ground. It's time for those beautiful pumpkins, cinnamon laced drinks and not to forget the second best Holiday after Christmas…Halloween! My love for this spooky part of the year has massively grown since having our daughter Valentina, being born on 29th October officially makes you a Halloween baby and to that I truly honour her the only way I know how and that's to decorate! So I’ve curated a collection of photographs from our home that celebrate this glorious season!
Flowers & Spiders Who says halloween has to be purely spooky?! You can add a touch of feminine charm with some flowers, a perfect compliment to these creepy crawlies!!
Witches & Broomsticks It doesn’t have to cost the earth! Mostly all the decor I find is in bargain stores. This glittery broomstick was $2 and looks witchtastic! The fun comes when you put it together, now thats where the real magic begins!
Witches Hat One of my favourite decor pieces I added to Valentinas room last year were these awesome floating Witches hats. A simple optical illusion to bring some spooky magic!! Also my top tip, there is nothing some invisible nylon thread cant make look cool!
Pumpkin Delight Who says Pumpkins have to be orange?! These gorgeous blush pink velvet ones are from one of my favourite stores Hobbycraft (or Hobby Lobby to my American freinds!) The perfect addition to a pretty but spooky Halloween set up!
Bats & Roses I love a pop of black with some colour! These bat garlands really stood out amidst the roses. The perfect finishing touch to a cute but spooky window display!
Dream Big Is very much something I have taught my kids to do and also something fundamentally I have learnt to do myself! (One of the many beauties of having kids is learning to practice what you preach!) So whether you are decorating a room or a whole house dont ever feel restricted to what you can acheive! There are no rules so dream big and let your imagination fly!
Garlands The beauty and my great love for Garlands is not only can you go to town with them with the Seasons but you can pretty much use them all year round! I dressed Valentinas room with these beautifull rose garlands (Lots of Them!)
